Privacy
mystery.app is run by Realtime Comms Ltd (United Kingdom). Last updated 7 October 2026. This policy covers the Mystery iPhone app and this website.
The Mystery app
- No account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect your name, email, location or contacts.
- The app creates a random device identifier, stored on your phone. It is sent to our server when you download an episode, so we can check whether that episode is free or included in your Mystery Pro subscription, and it is used as your anonymous customer ID with RevenueCat.
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple (payment) and RevenueCat (subscription status), which receive that random identifier and your purchase details. We never see your payment details.
- Our server logs which episode was requested and when (no personal details), to keep the service working and secure.
- Your listening history, saved episodes, queue and downloads stay on your phone. Deleting the app removes them.
Launch email list
- If you enter your email to be notified, we store your email address, the date, and which page you signed up on.
- We use it for one purpose: to tell you when the Mystery app launches (and, at most, occasional news about Mystery). We never sell or share it.
- It is stored on our own server in the UK and not given to any mailing service until we send the launch email.
- To be removed at any time, email support@realtimecomms.co.uk and we will delete your address. Every email we send will also include a way to unsubscribe.
- Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Listening on this website
This site has no ads and no third-party trackers. Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security, deleted routinely.
To learn whether people come back to listen again, the free episode pages count a listen once you have played an episode for 30 seconds. Your browser stores a random ID (not linked to your name, email or IP address) and sends it with the episode name. We use this only to count returning listeners, and keep it on our own server in the UK. It is not set if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
